Health, Safety & Environmental Policy

Our commitment to maintaining safe working environments for our team, clients, and the public across all projects.

At our core, we believe that exceptional construction delivery is impossible without an absolute commitment to safety. As a principal contracting partner executing New Builds, Property Maintenance, Refurbishments, and Certified Fire Protection Solutions, we accept our clear legal and moral responsibility to protect our workforce, our clients, and the communities where we build.

We operate under a strict Zero-Harm Framework, ensuring that every project—from routine estate maintenance to major structural reconfigurations—is executed in total alignment with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015).

1. Principal Contractor Responsibility & Compliance

Every construction or refurbishment program we manage is driven by a project-specific Construction Phase Plan (CPP). We ensure that overlapping trades—including structural masonry, electrical engineering, plumbing, and specialist installations—coexist under a unified, rigidly supervised safety umbrella.

2. Comprehensive Hazard Mitigation (RAMS)

No operative or subcontractor steps onto our sites without a verified Risk Assessment & Method Statement (RAMS). We proactively isolate and eliminate risks inherent to our multi-trade service lines, enforcing rigorous protocols for:

  • Working at Height: Utilizing certified access platforms and edge protection.

  • Structural Alterations: Employing engineered temporary works to ensure building stability during deep strip-outs.

  • Hazardous Materials: Executing strict COSHH controls for modern damp-proofing, structural treatments, and chemical applications.

3. Accredited Competency & Training

We guarantee a fully qualified workforce. Every site manager, trade specialist, and subcontractor is systematically vetted to ensure they hold the technical knowledge and certifications required for their duties:

  • CSCS Compliance: Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme cards across all site personnel.

  • Specialist Trade Accreditation: Fully certified electrical (NICEIC or equivalent) and mechanical (Gas Safe) installations.

  • Passive Fire Protection Expertise: Specialist training for the installation of certified fire-stopping materials, cavity barriers, and compliant fire doors.

4. Public Security & Occupied Space Safety

Much of our asset maintenance and retrofit work takes place within live commercial spaces, high-density residential streets, and sensitive supported-housing environments. We implement rigid physical segregation, clear safety signage, and tightly controlled delivery schedules to ensure the general public, tenants, and visitors are entirely insulated from our work areas.

5. Rigorous Auditing & Continuous Improvement

Safety is an evolving discipline. We conduct routine, unannounced site safety audits and review our working practices continuously. Any minor incident or near-miss is logged within a registered Accident Book and thoroughly investigated to identify root causes, ensuring our operations strictly fulfill RIDDOR statutory reporting requirements.

6. Environmental & Structural Responsibility

We recognize that building preservation goes hand-in-hand with health and safety. Before disturbing any older building fabric during refurbishments, we enforce mandatory Asbestos Refurbishment Surveys to protect our workers from airborne contaminants. Simultaneously, we manage construction waste responsibly, prioritizing the recycling of structural materials and minimizing our environmental footprint across every postcode we touch.

A Culture of Shared Accountability

“Health and safety is not a box-ticking exercise; it is the foundation of our reputation. We empower every single person on our sites—from apprentice to senior project manager—with the absolute authority to stop work immediately if they perceive an unsafe condition. We build safely, or we don’t build at all.”
